Fringe City and the Big Splash 2009

Over the weeks of the 2009 Brighton Festival, the street entertainment event "Fringe City" gathered crowds of thousands to see a wide range of Fringe performances for free, including music performances from The Drookit Dogs, Longtomb, The Morning Orchestra, Monsters Build Mean Robots and Cuckoo Savante.

French artist Paul Henri Jeannel was there too with his Chapeau Magique experience, in which he made his beautiful sculptural brown paper hats.

On the final Sunday of the Festival, Brighton Marina played host to "the Big Splash" - another wonderful free outdoor entertainment event.
